Santosh Trophy: Karnataka keep Tamil Nadu waiting

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu could have assured themselves a spot in the main round of Santosh Trophy on Saturday, but that was not to be. The hosts missed a number of chances to be held 1-1 by Karnataka and will now have to wait till Monday for qualification.
In the second match, Kerala thrashed Andaman & Nicobar 17-0 and now have six points from three games. TN and Karnataka are on seven with one game in hand.
With two teams slated to qualify from South Zone, TN need a draw against AP (3 off 3) to make the cut. The winner of the Kerala-Karnataka game goes through. In case of a draw, Karnataka will make the cut.
